This luxury all-inclusive resort is a member of "The Leading Hotels of the World" and one of only 2 AAA 5 diamond all inclusive Resorts. It is located on the Riviera Maya section of the Yucatan peninsula, 45 minutes south of Cancun in the up-scale area of Playacar, close to the small resort town of Playa del Carmen.
This resort has 200 luxurious rooms and suites, 5 pools, 4 restaurants, 2 lounges, and a beach club. Service is of the highest standard with a ratio of 2 employees to each guest.
Activities
Whatever your choice, there are enough activities, entertainment, and attractions to exhilarate the senses. Whether on land or in the crystal-clear waters, or even exploring Mexico's awesome archaeological treasures. Royal Hideaway spoils you with so many activities and things to do, you may have to extend your stay just to experience it all. All-inclusive water sports include; snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, aqua aerobics, and boogie boards. Motorized water sports including parasailing are available (additional cost).
On the land the sports and activities include; tennis, bicycling, shuffleboard, table tennis, outdoor chess, darts, and a complete fitness center with steam room and innovative fitness classes. Optional tours are available (additional cost) to; Mayan ruins, Natural Parks, Scuba diving at the world-famous Palancar reef, and fishing trips. If this is too much you can just relax by one of the 5 pools or on the beach. After a day of activities, there is the soothing and relaxing experience you can only receive at the Royal Hideaway Spa. Treatments include; facials, body scrubs and wraps, and a myriad of massage therapies, as well as the unique distinction of being a state-of-the-art thalassotherapy marine care center spa (spa services at an additional cost).
Dining
The Royal Hideaway calls it gourmet-inclusive. You'll call it delicious. You can choose from 4 distinctive gourmet restaurants, each offering luxurious a la carte dining. Your options are Ventanas (Continental) run by Sergi Arola a Michelin 2 star restaurateur, Spices (Mexican Caribbean), Palazzo (Italian), Azia (Asian and Thai). Twice a week in the Club Royal participate in the dinner theater featuring exciting entertainment and gourmet cuisine. When relaxing at the beach enjoy bistro-style cuisine at the beach club.
Royal Hideaway is proud to serve premium liquors as well as an assortment of fine beers and wines at their two lounges, the cigar lounge, offering humidors and a unique selection of fine cigars, and the Allegria Lounge, serving fine drinks and a traditional high tea service. If the days activities have worn you out you can avail yourself to the 24 hour room service. If you choose you may dance the night away, and enjoy the entertainment or the glitz and glamour of the twice per week dinner theatre.
