The RIU Palace Mexico is located in the exclusive Playacar Resort area, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean, just 5 minutes from the town of Playa del Carmen. It's impressive architecture encompasses 434 deluxe Jr. Suites and Suites featuring unique amenities, such as RIU's renowned minibar and liquor dispenser. The resort offers an exquisite selection of A la Carte restaurants and spectacular buffets, complemented by breakfast room service and 24 Hr. snacks and beverages. The RIU exchange privileges allow access and use of the other RIU properties within the RIU Resort Complex.
Activities
As far as activities there is a wide variety sure to satisfy everyone in the whole family. Choose from an array of water and land activities. In the water you can choose from 2 swimming pools with swim-up bar, a children's pool, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, kayaking, body board and snorkeling equipment. The resort sits on a beautiful beach. On land play a round of tennis, volleyball, table tennis, workout in the Gym, and take a complimentary scuba lesson. There are also complimentary daily activities as well as nighttime entertainment with live music and shows. You get admission to the "La Pinata" night Club at the RIU Tequila Resort. Golf and other sports activities are nearby.
Dining
The dining options include 5 A la Carte Restaurants and an International Buffet. The A la Carte Restaurants include, Italian, Brazilian, Steakhouse, Japanese, and the up-scale Sir Edward" restaurant. You also have exchange privileges with the other 3 resorts in the RIU resort compound. Take advantage of the 24 hr. breakfast room service as well as the 24 hr. all day snacks and beverages. As far as quenching your thirst, you have 5 bars to choose from including the swim-up bar. You again, also have exchange privileges with the other RIU resorts.
