We had a wonderful time on our recent April vacation at the Barcelo Maya Palace. The resort was upscale with a hip modern decor and the layout was wonderful. The food and amenities were top notch!! We loved how the dining facilities were all on the water; so you could eat-in or outside overlooking a beautiful reef. The crystal clear water, and reef right off the property meant diving and snorkeling expeditions were unnecessary, although available. Our 14 and 17 year olds had a great time with the resorts offerings of watersports, fitness, basketball and life size chess board. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation, a better resort, or a more helpful and dedicated travel agent. Francine answered all our questions, was spot-on with her recommendation of this resort, and was just a pleasure to work with. I'll never use on-line internet bookings again! It was so nice to have a real, dedicated person to work with!!!
